Not much news, Boo Hoo.

Its been a week again, and as the title says there is not much news, have been waiting all week for news of the Mesh, when it will come home. Finally by Wednesday I managed to contact the repair centre and the swore it was being seen to right then by the engineer. Was supposed to be finished by friday and they would let me know when the courier would deliver. I asked if that could be after Friday as I had a hospital appointment and John had to go to London, to see his new tenant, yes a lovely girl who will be perfect. She loves the flat and is so enthusiast, and best of all she will be moving in next weekend.
As to the Mesh there has been no news as yet, so tomorrow I will be on the phone again, as I don't think in this case "no news is good news". I have meanwhile also written off a blast to Mesh who had the nerve to send an email advertising their new products; so I told them what I thought of their product and their customer services. Don't suppose it will help Boo Hoo.
Thats it for the moment.

Well back again after the most horrible weather here

Sorry for the long silence, but have been extremely busy. I had two sets of american visitors, both Bryn Mawr friends. One of them, Anne: she was my elephant auntie at College, and she has been my friend for 54 years, the other one Carla friends for 67 years. We met when I was 8 and she was 7 1/2, at Northlands, our english school in Argentina; when I was asked to look after her. She had just arrived from the Netherlands and her english was non existant. Mine wasn't much better but I could state: please, thank you and may I be excused. This latter phrase was of great importance. We have been friends ever since, went through College at Bryn Mawr together; Carla selected that for us as she was then in the US and could look around. I stayed at her parent's home in New Rochelle during the holidays, I was her bridesmaid at her wedding. And we remained firm friends in spite of her leaving me behind at BMC while she embarked on married life. All these years we have remained in touch mostly by phone, latterly by email very few times by snail-mail; with some occasional visits as well. When ever we were in touch we just took up our sentences and conversation where we had left off.
so here we are 67 years years hence; inside we feel no change at all, but outside I'd say: we did age a little ?

After an extremely wet bank holiday, with John away in London for 3 days on the trot showing people around at his flat in Clapham we went off on Tuesday to visit Christina who had made 12 pots of marmalade for me in January. They had been awaiting collection so we went to Long Compton where she lives to gather them in, and to take her out to lunch at her local pub. Of course the Jellies came along too, they behaved impeccably although Nellie was pretty smellie after having rolled in something unspeakable. We had a lovely lunch, John and the Jellies a nice walk in unfamiliar surroundings and we didn't get home till almost 9 o/c. I did take my camera but the only pix I took were these two:

Since then I have been very busy creating a blog for John about his properties in Clapham to show his prospective tenants. It took me and afternoon and half a morning refining. It was however a great learning curve, and I discovered quite a few new things about blogging. The address is www.johnedwinthorpe.blogspot.com have a visit and a look-see. Bye for now till the next time.
